As tax time approaches, it is important to remind every member of the community to file an income tax return for 2023, even if you have no income. The Provincial Government has a number of credits and benefits to highlight from the 2023 Tax Year:

Ontario Seniors Care at Home Tax Credit

Medical expenses that support aging at home made in 2023 could be eligible for the Ontario Seniors Care at Home Tax Credit. Examples: hearing aids and hospital beds. Learn more: www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-seniors-care-home-tax-credit

Ontario’s Child Care Tax Credit

Ontario Seniors’ Public Transit Tax Credit

Ontario Trillium Benefit 

The Ontario Trillium Benefit is a refundable tax credit to assist low-income families in paying for energy costs, sales tax, and property taxes.
