4H Ontario Support

The governments of Canada and Ontario are investing more than $2.3 million into 4-H Ontario programming through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP).

The three-year funding support will enhance 4-H Ontario’s capacity to provide leadership development and training opportunities for youth who want to build a career in the agricultural sector, through both province-wide and local initiatives.

Sustainable CAP will help drive the goals outlined in Ontario’s Grow Ontario Strategy, which includes attracting talent for our agriculture and agri-food sector while increasing total employment in the agri-food sector by 10 per cent by 2032.

Participants, from ages 6 – 21, take part in a variety of clubs across South Simcoe or York Region. They are run by passionate and creative volunteers. Clubs in York and South Simcoe include many different livestock, life skills and more special interest topics.
