Protecting Ontario’s Snowmobile Network
December 3, 2025
Georgina Snowmobilers, we heard you. Ontario is delivering immediate support to restore the full trail network here and across Ontario!
Our government is providing $3.9 million in additional funding to protect Ontario’s snowmobile trails this season, bringing total support to $4.9 million in 2025–26.
This funding will ensure a strong, reliable trail network by facilitating the full reopening of 4,500 kilometres of trails by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC). This includes the Georgina Trail Riders!
Snowmobiling continues to be one of the province’s most popular winter activities.
Reopening these trails are essential to supporting local businesses, protecting tourism revenue, and ensuring riders can safely access Ontario’s trail system.
The OFSC manages the province’s snowmobile trail permit system and coordinates trail operations across hundreds of local volunteer clubs that maintain Ontario’s network both locally and across the province.
Under the leadership of Premier Ford, our government is protecting Ontario’s snowmobile network, and the communities that rely on up to $6 billion dollars of economic activity annually
