EAST GWILLIMBURY – Ontario’s government is partnering with its municipal partners to deliver much-need infrastructure across the province. The government has committed funding to improve the province’s infrastructure, create jobs and grow the economy.
Local MPP, Caroline Mulroney announced the Ontario government is investing close to $2.2 Million in a road infrastructure project in East Gwillimbury.
“Building and maintaining great roads, bridges and transit infrastructure, will help people who rely on our roads and public transit to get to work and home safely. We are working closely with our municipal partners, families and small business to build needed infrastructure in our community,” said Mulroney.
East Gwillimbury Township will invest over $450, 000 to support the revitalization of Centre Street.
This investment continues to build on Ontario’s partnership with local municipalities, families and businesses to deliver safe, sustainable infrastructure to communities across the province.
“We’re continuing to work with municipalities, families and businesses, to make smart investments in our infrastructure, and keep it reliable,” says Minister of Infrastructure Laurie Scott. “Our investments are creating jobs and growing the economy, shaping the future for hard-working families in Ontario.”
“These initiatives promise to make a real difference in people’s lives by giving them confidence in knowing that their community has safe and reliable infrastructure, said Mulroney “we’re excited to get shovels in the ground.”
