Ontario Expands COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility to Pregnant Individuals

On April 6, the Ontario government moved to Phase Two of its COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan, which focuses on age and at-risk populations to prevent further death, hospitalization and transmission reaching individuals.

Starting April 23, all pregnant individuals will be eligible for vaccination under the highest risk health conditions as part of Phase Two.

Pregnant individuals can book an appointment through the provincial call centre at 1-888-999-6488.  Pregnant individuals live in a public health unit region that is not using the provincial booking system will be directed to their local PHU to book an appointment.

Only COVID-19 vaccines that Health Canada determines to be safe and effective are approved for use in Ontario.

Vaccines remain the best way to protect your health and the health of those round you. All COVID-19 vaccines available in Ontario have been shown to prevent serious illness, hospitalization and death.
