Investing in Food Safety and Growth in York-Simcoe

Ontario and Canada are investing up to $5 million to help small agriculture and food businesses in York-Simcoe and central Ontario to modernize their food safety systems and stimulate growth through the Food Safety and Growth Initiative.

Through the Food Safety and Growth Initiative, funding will be provided to eligible food processors, producers and service providers to improve food safety systems, adopt new food safety and traceability equipment, technologies and standards, provide related food safety training, respond to market and consumer demands and grow their businesses.

Calling York-Simcoe businesses, including food producers, food processors and service providers! You can apply to receive up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $75,000 for projects that improve food safety and traceability and improve consumer confidence: https://www.ontario.ca/page/food-safety-and-growth-initiative
