Cutting Red Tape, Building Ontario Act

Our government is committed to making life easier and more affordable for businesses and people in York-Simcoe and across Ontario.

This legislation is a key part of the Fall 2024 Red Tape Reduction package that includes more than 60 initiatives focusing on improving service delivery, accelerating housing development and keeping costs down for the people of Ontario.

Thanks to the actions taken by our government since 2018, our red tape reduction measures have saved people, businesses, not-for-profits, and the broader public sector more than $1 billion every year and 1.5 million in time savings.

Under the leadership of Premier Ford, our government remains committed to making life easier and more affordable for the businesses and people of Ontario.

Under the previous Liberal government, Ontario had the highest regulatory burden in Canada. Their excessive red tape ruined innovation, drove away jobs, and made Ontario one of the most over-regulated provinces in the world.
